A recent study by BUPA, reported in The Independent, quotes that 25% of people leave their jobs due to low levels of trust amongst colleagues. Not only is there disruption and cost created by turnover of staff, it also reduces people’s performance at work. The report cited that greater trust between colleagues would improve motivation and happiness. With senior leaders now paying attention to well-being at work, it is interesting to note that trust would be more valued than access to a company sponsored gym or gym membership.

We see this up close and personal in our leadership development programmes. Having colleagues around you who are supportive and yet straight talking, having more openness amongst team members and being able to count on others enables “better behaviour every day by everyone”. When we help enable this to happen within a team, you can almost see an oppressive weight of misunderstanding, misdirection, misreading and mistrust lift from the team. Everything gets easier, faster and clearer.

We are on a mission to build trust and improved behaviour to make every day at work better.
