A great book to recommend to you by a former colleague and one of the world’s authorities on Resilience – Linda Hoopes. Linda has researched, consulted and educated tens of thousands of people for well over 20 years in the fields of personal, team and organisational resilience. Her most recent book “Prosilience: Building Your Resilience for a Turbulent World” provides a real breakthrough in that it moves resilience forward to an ongoing, every day compass. Prosilience = proactivity + resilience. This means consciously applying resilient responses to the set backs of day-to-day living. In doing so, we build resilience muscles proactively to enable us to respond and model better behaviour, more naturally drawing on our resilience when life gets tough. Linda’s book is wonderfully compact, easy to read and full of resilient wisdom.
